Elena Milovanovic reaches the FINALS of the ITF tournament in Monastir!

The 22-year-old champion from the Novak Tennis Center had a very successful tournament in Tunisia. In the final, however, she was stopped by the Spaniard Noelia Bouzo Zanotti. The result of the final match was 2:0 (6:3, 6:1).

Elena started the tournament potently, defeating the Austrian player Liel Marlis Rothensteiner 2:0, allowing her only 3 won games for the entire match. In the second round, Milovanovic met the German Mara Guth, whom she also defeated 2:0 (6:2 and 6:0 in sets).

In the quarterfinals, we saw a real spectacle and a good fight against another Serbian player, Dejana Radanovic. However, Elena was better, with 6:3, 7:6 in sets. For the first time in the entire tournament, Elena dropped a set in the semi-finals against the Bulgarian tennis player Izabela Shinikova, losing the second set with a score of 4:6, after winning the first (6:1). However, in the third set, Elena found her characteristic aggressive game again and surely decided the duel in her favor, with a score of 6:2.

Zanotti was still an insurmountable obstacle for Elena in the finals. Still, her visible progress shows that we can hope for new important matches and fights for titles in the next tournaments!
