Hamad faced a serious test in the quarter-finals, meeting Hungarian Zsombor Piros. The match was played in 3 sets and all 3 were extremely tight. Hamad outplayed his opponent in the first, with a score of 7:5, but the Hungarian immediately retaliated with the same score in the second set. In the third set, every point was close as well, but Međedović still managed to break the opponent’s serve and win, with the score 7:5 – 5:7 – 6:4.
In the semi-finals, Međedović played against Frenchman Evan Furness and easily won the match in his favor, 6:1 – 6:2.
In the final, our champion was met by Croatian tennis player Nino Serdarusic, but Hamad was ready to deliver the best tennis in the most important match. He defeated his opponent with a score of 6:4 – 6:3 and took the title.
